The first well, Dukhan 1, was drilled in 1939. Development continued after World War II and in 1949 the first crude exports occurred and the first offshore concessions were granted. In 1960, the Idd Al-Shargi and Maydan Mahzam fields were discovered. The largest offshore field, Bul Hanine, was discovered in 1970 and came onstream in 1972. Qatar Petroleum was created in 1974.
BUSINESS SUPPORT (OFFSHORE FIELDS)
Primary Purpose of Job
Performs wide range of Material Coordinators activities to cover all material requirements of the department.Acts as a focal point and coordinates process of Material procurement for spare parts, chemical stocking and transportation requirements.Ensures bid evaluations rela te d to departments material orders and justifications are completed as per corporation's policy and filtered all procedures and returned to Material department in time.Responsible for processing and timely return of technical evaluations from the Originator to the Material Department.
Bachelor of Science or equivalent in an Engineering discipline (Mech./ Elect / Inst) with sufficient knowledge in SAP (PM, MM, and Modules) in addition to sufficient knowledge computer application.
Experience & Skills
• 10 years maintenance experience within a similar Oil & Gas or petrochemical environment with at least 6 years experience in the operation of a computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP).
• Knowledge and understanding of principles, processes and requirements for Strategic planning in Oil/Gas/Petrochemical Offshore based industry.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English.
