LOGISTICS COORDINATOR - to work offshore 4/4 rota in West Africa - Due to the urgency of this vacancy applicants MUST be either USA Residents or USA Passport holders (no visa requirements for West Africa)

Youo will be responsible for the Logistics Offshore to provide the necessary support to the Drilling, Maintenance, Process, Marine and Logistics Departments. Directly responsible to the Logistics Manager/Installation Manager for the day to day operation of this department.

The Logistics Coordinator will identify operations and develop systems to ensure that proper control is maintained at all times. Review procedures and when agreed by Log Mngr/Installation Managers will enforce these procedures for the smooth, safe running of the operation.

  • Superve all field Helicopter movements.
  • Control of all vessel movements within the field and stimulate a flow of information to/and from the base and all field locations and fleet vessels.
  • Assist on a daily basis, Materials and Stores personnel to facilitate adequate and timely Material and consumables (fuel, water, etc) provisioning for all activities on the Platform.
  • Assist all field catering and services provided by the catering crew to ensure acceptable standards.
  • Ensure that adequate measures are taken to provide personnel tracking, such as to ensure that the POB remains within the maximum as dictated by the Lifeboat capacities.
  • Provide adequate 24 hour cover for all radio communications and the logging of movements.
  • Oversee crane operations and general deck work required to provide required support.
  • Work closely with field Drilling Operations to ensure that maximum efficiency is obtained in deck operations.

Provide vessels for export tanker liftings and assist Marine Superintendent

Quals/Skills required

  • Completion of secondary education (12 years) plus 5 years'+ formal administrative marine background.
  • 5 years experience in logistic, camp management or similar.
  • 8 years experience with offshore Drilling logistics.
  • SAP & IPES experience for accurate entries on Materials movements and inventories

Good knowledge of written and spoken English. - (Spanish would be an advantage)

  • Must be capable of working in a multi national environment, sensitive to local culture and physically fit to work in an remote offshore environment.

Exceptional teamwork skills are a must. This position is on a 28/28 day rotation schedule.
