The first well, Dukhan 1, was drilled in 1939. Development continued after World War II and in 1949 the first crude exports occurred and the first offshore concessions were granted. In 1960, the Idd Al-Shargi and Maydan Mahzam fields were discovered. The largest offshore field, Bul Hanine, was discovered in 1970 and came onstream in 1972. Qatar Petroleum was created in 1974.
SUPPLY CHAIN LOCALIZATION (E&I)
Primary purpose of job
Lead the development of the Offshore supplier eco-system to meet requirements of the Energy and Industrial (E & I) sector and support the States economic diversification objective.
Experience & Skills
• Minimum 15 years professional experience in supply chain function.• Good understanding of the local Qatari market.• Experience in the Off-shore services in oil and gas sector.• Experience in dealing with international Oil and Gas service companies.• Experience in Supplier development with exposure to Small and Medium Enterprises highly desirable• Experience in successfully developing and executing supply chain localization programs.• Proven ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.• Strong leadership, planning, coordination and influencing skills.• Ability to think strategically and balance diverse objectives and expectations.• Experience in working in large multi-national corporations.• Proven track record in delivering high quality results.
• University Degree in Engineering/ Supply Chain/Science.
