Job Description

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: 

Investor Acquisition, Negotiation and Maintaining Relationship:

  • Actively prospects for potential investor partners for new Retailer Owned Retailer Operated (RORO) sites and to acquire potential RORO sites to convert to Caltex brand. Maintains a healthy RORO pipeline at any time
  • Stewards and supports successful candidates through the New Business Acquisition Process to be ready as retailers
  • Works closely with Investors to ensure projects are in alignment to Chevron's business objectives
  • Ensures appropriate and complete hand-over of new site to Retail Business Consultant when ready
  • Manages and provides support on post acquisition/retention actions including but not limited to RORO to RORO transactions, rebrands, restructuring deals, and loan conversions
  • Have good comprehension of Petroleum Industry Network Plan, Network Planning and Site Acquisition Process
  • Possesses good business acumen to prioritize opportunities within that plan
  • Have good people skill, interfaces with Retailers, Branded Marketers and internal stakeholders to ensure collaboration and alignment
  • Able to develop leads and identify potential and interested Investors / new or competitors' Retailers through active sourcing, canvassing and other means
  • Cultivates and maintains strong alliance and winning relationships with existing Retailers for future growth and stay abreast of market conditions
  • Interfaces with property-related vendors, contractors, co-brand partners and outsource service providers
Network Planning:
  • Interfaces with Retail, Network Optimization and Property Specialists to understand market context analysis and network plan on each market, anticipate ascending markets and competitive environments to assess Chevron's gaps against network vision
  • Develops concrete actions to deliver sites in target areas and lookout to avoid trade area cannibalization
  • Identifies replacement sites to strategically position Chevron toward network vision and feed these details into Strategic Network Planning Proces

Approval Request and Financial Analysis:
  • Responsible for conducting economic feasibility studies for all proposed projects using Project Screening Tool
  • Coordinates well with internal stakeholders (PandFO, Legal, Retail, Finance and other support teams) to complete and document essential business documents; such as credit review and supply arrangement and contracts
  • Keeps abreast with permitting requirements, site layout design, site image requirements and investment package
Market Intelligence and Data Resource:
  • Keeps abreast with government policies changes, competitive activity and offers
  • Provides timely recommendation of RORO package, offering and policy updates to stay competitive in the market place
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business and Marketing
  • Strong Negotiation and Relationship Building Skills
  • Proven track record of delivering business results
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Have solid knowledge of the Retail Brand and Station Operations
  • Strong Organizational Savvy skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
