DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate plant equipment - hands on and control console to produce continuous sucker rod, following specifications.
Continuously perform visual inspection of the product and perform immediate corrective actions when necessary, reporting to and consulting supervisory staff if required.
Perform general maintenance on equipment, conduct minor repairs and perform general clean-up activities..
Complete required paperwork accurately and on a timely basis, including non-conformances and problems.
Conducts routine quality control testing of products manufactured by the Rod Plant.
Prepare test reports and organizes files test results for future reference.
Communicate well and effectively support a strong team environment.
Participate 100% in identified workplace personal protective equipment requirements.
Actively participate in company safety and environmental procedures and programs; corrects unsafe work practices or situations; follows reporting protocols for violations; participates in the hazard identification initiatives.
Fully participates in continuous process improvement and cost control, following quality policies, procedures and standards to maintain within company guidelines.
Conducts quality control testing to support field services operations, where applicable.
Habits and environmental awareness and observes all safety requirements and procedures of the job; informs management of any safety policy violations or potential safety hazards through the Hazard Identification process.
Actively participates in continuous improvement by following documented procedures, communicates problem situations and assists in providing solutions, and makes recommendations for areas of improvement.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Previous experience in torch cutting, welding, grinding and use of material handling equipment.
Very well organized and committed.
Good communication skills

Team player with a positive attitude.
Technical background in mechanical area is a bonus.
Previous experience in a plant/manufacturing environment.
