Job Summary

Primarily responsible is to provide assistance to Logistics & Trade Management to ensure highly efficient and effective rig and cargo movements for global operations. The Senior Coordinator responsibilities include key coordination with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Ensco's objectives and applicable laws and policies are adhered to.


  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Asia Pacific and international trade logistic, Freight forwarding and Trade Compliance.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience solving materials and heavy equipment logistics challenges for remote locations
  • Experience in logistics spend management / cost control


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Trade compliances or other closely related discipline is required
  • Knowledge of Import & Export regulations and HS classifications required
  • Understanding of key freight forwarding concepts (Inco Terms, Bills of lading, Terms of Sale, etc) required


  • Oil and gas or petroleum industry experience preferred
  • Proficient in Oracle Transportation Management and Global Trade Management (GTM) required
  • Project Management experience preferred

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers the company's import and export compliance program
  • Provides global support for the movement of rigs, spares and equipment
  • Responsible for the daily monitoring and follow up for export and imports
  • Responsible to monitor and report status of on hand, in transit, storage and damage equipment
  • Monitors the performance of global freight forwarders through the use of established KPI's and audits
  • Provides support to Corporate Trade Compliance
  • Continuously seeks and reports on alternative logistic cost savings opportunities
  • Provides support and assistance to global business units as required for emergency shipments, customs questions, supplier documents and or other information
  • Performs on call duties on a rotational basis in support of global logistics
  • Acts as interface for issues related to shipping, invoicing for forwarding agents, shipping agents, customs brokers, packers, carriers, suppliers, rig sites, area offices and corporate office
  • Ensure on-time and accurate deliveries of required materials at lowest total system cost
  • Provide assistance with support, monitoring and audit of 3PL providers
  • Reviews and approves intermediary, freight forwarder and logistics invoices
  • Perform other daily duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements for this position

  • Knowledge and experience of the Local logistics & Customs matters
  • Excellent availability for urgent matters and emergency issues
  • Ability to handle unexpected situations
  • Ability to manage different logistic projects at the same time and meet deadlines
  • Ability to figure out logistic budgets and timings and to meet them
  • Ability to recognize and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to charter and discuss the contracts for aircrafts or vessels
  • Ability to obtain, compare and discuss all kinds of in country transport and handling rates
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Available and willingness to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
  • Committed to a high standard of safety and will and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer's safety policies and rules. Must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
  • Effective communication, team working and organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and be able to diplomatically handle confrontation
  • Exercise sound judgments and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines.
  • Maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion
  • PC proficiency required. Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office software suite version
  • Perform duties onsite, except those job duties which are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (such as off-site meetings with customers at their request or for marketing purposes, making deliveries to designated destinations, traveling to field offices to meet with superiors/peers/subordinates or attend/conduct training, etc)
  • Work effectively alone or as part of a team on projects.
