Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and management of all updates and upgrades pertaining to automation. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs (including Micrologix, Compactlogix, Controllogix, RS Logix 5 and RS Logix 500), Siemens PLCs, RS View and PanelBuilder software, Devicenet and Ethernet.
  • Ability to interface with outside contractors for interconnection of new equipment including relaying and coordinating for integration of new systems.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with blending and/or loading systems.
  • Familiarity of HMIs (Panelviews and Panelview Plus).
  • Maintenance of a filing system with current copies of programs for ALL devices.
  • Ability to update and coordinate updates of electrical schematics.
  • Manage upgrades of electrical control panels and procedures for building /rewiring/ interconnecting of completed control panels.
  • Assist in the oversight of all major electrical repairs and upgrades including procurement of new automation equipment to be used in upgrading blending and packaging facilities.
  • Ability to draw schematics for operational processes in both current and pre-build planning stages.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues related to PLCs, automation and interface equipment.
  • Assist internal and external engineers in the design and execution of upgrades to automation systems and PLCs.

Requirements
 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Willing to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation
  • Willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation
  • Willing to climb ladders, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodation
  • Willing to respond to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team with or without accommodation
  • To attend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site, or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistance
  • Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies
  • Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
