The Production Technician is a key role in our Shell QGC Midstream LNG Asset based on Curtis Island in the Gladstone region of Queensland. The Midstream Asset is a two-train LNG production, storage and offloading facility.
In this role you will ensure the onshore LNG production facility is safely operated within the design envelope and maintained in accordance with the required industry standards. You will execute field operations activities such as daily proactive monitoring rounds and the safe isolation and handover of process equipment for maintenance. These duties will see you communicate any abnormal conditions or potential equipment failure that could cause unsafe operation or harm to people, asset or environment.
Your knowledge of the permit to work system will see you controlling all work in your area of accountability to ensure effective work execution and prevention of any undue conflict or unsafe acts.
You will support the operation through designing, verifying, implementing process isolations and issuing, endorsing and assuring permits.
Importantly you will adhere to and promote safety and environmental procedures to ensure safety of self, personnel, process plant and environment in addition to responding to any process emergency situations in accordance with emergency procedures.
