SUMMARY: Collects samples of products or raw materials for Laboratory analysis by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Obtains samples of grain from rail cars, ships, barges, truck and bins using methods prescribed by USDA-FGIS.
Correctly identifies each sample and returns to lab.
Assists in laboratory with processing of samples
Works as Weigher as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Drivers License required.
