Job Description

Location -?The Courneuve, France 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Customer Service Leader / regional manager in the industrial turbine department, you perform specialized tests and commissioning work on turbines and compressors, in power plants, in industrial (chemical, petrochemical, paper, incinerators waste, agro-food, steel mill, etc.); ensure inspection and control in respect of costs, deadlines, internal procedures, quality and safety standards.

 You will be able to functionally supervise a team of test technicians. 

  • Perform commissioning and testing according to plans and technical and regulatory specifications
  • Check the conformity of the tests with the plans and instructions 
  • Investigate the origins and causes of breakdowns and solve them 
  • Complete test reports 
  • Ensure the removal of the reservations made by the client 
  • Ensure the respect of initial budgets 
  • Acting hazards (extra work, non-conformities, ...) 
  • Ensure the technology watch 
  • Feed the REX database 
  • Meet the requirements of the contract 
  • Get the best customer satisfaction 
  • Preserve in all circumstances the integrity of equipment or facilities 
  • Know the principles and foundations of a Management System for Safety and the Environment. 
  • To ensure his safety and that of his team
    • Distribute the EHS tasks in his operational team and sensitize his team to the hazards of the site identified in the inventory of specific risks 
    • Know and apply all EHS guidelines and procedures applicable to your job 
    • Respect and follow the safety and environmental instructions of his place of work or (if traveling) the place of activity.  
    • Report all dangerous situations for oneself, others or the environment to the right people as soon as possible
  • Ensure the implementation of the Power Service Quality Policy 
  • You will represent GE POWER SERVICE France to our customers as part of our on-site interventions

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Graduate BAC + 5 from an engineering school (or university) generalist predominantly
  • Electro-technical or mechanical or equivalent experience
  • Experience in electrical engineering or mechanical rotating machinery is a plus
  • Fluency in English and the Office Pack is imperative 
  • Mastery of French is compulsory
  • This 100% itinerant job requires high availability and mobility in France and abroad
  • Driving license B required
