Job Description

  • Location -
  • Responsibilities
  • Designs training aids, prepare technical materials, tests, handouts and lesson plans for training classes and conduct training programs 
  • Record and analyze training evaluation 
  • Monitor trainee and trainer performance against evaluation criteria/post course performance 
  • Prepares trainee examinations and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, 
  • Evaluates training effectiveness through appropriate evaluation and post training effectiveness evaluations making modifications to the program design to increase program efficiency 
  • Administer certification/recertification programs as formulated in Training Management plan 
  • Monitor and record employee training status for compliance with Training programs 
  • Oversee the training and all required safety orientation for Depot operations & maintenance personnel. 
  • Participate in the management of the training center 
  • Participates in Alstom management audits, and prepare responses to audit findings concerning training functions. 
  • As appropriate, conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and 
  • recommends/develops individualized training programs. 
  • Performance Measurements: 
  • Effectiveness of training programs through feedback and evaluation 
  • Training completed vs. training planned 
  • Efficient running of the training centre and customer co-ordination 
  • Tasks & Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct the analysis of training needs. 
  • Prepare training material and classroom agenda. 
  • Develop training aids such as learner guides, manuals, handbooks, practical examples (mock ups), slide shows, hand-outs, etc. 
  • Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory and customer requirements. 
  • Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer- aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops. 
  • Conduct training programs using recognized training techniques and tools. 
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom in struction, on-the-job coaching and training, etc. 
  • Record and analyse training evaluation. 
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness. 
  • Monitor trainees performance against evaluation criteria/post course performance
  • Identify and assist struggling trainees. 
  • Keep up to date with current technical training design and development methodologies. 
  • Provide feedback to program participants and management on progress, implementation and evaluation of programs applicable to the technical training QMS. 
  • Maintain employee training records. 
  • Ensure that all EHS and Railway safety rules & regulations are adhered to. 
  • Ensure Assets under area of responsibility are maintained and used with high emphasis on safety. 
  • Ensure that all company rules & regulations are adhered to. 
  • Implement, drive & maintain APSYS program in the training center. 
  • Assist the training manager in coordination with Indian Railways. 
  • Perform any other task assigned by Training Manager for efficient management of 
  • Training center 
  • Desired Knowledge / Experience: 
  • Total 15 years experience in Electric Loco Operating Department of Indian Railways/ Metro Railways 
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Instructor in Zonal Electric Loco /Metro Training Center 
  • Technical & Troubleshooting knowledge of WAG5; WAG7; WAG9 & WAP series of locomotives or Metro Railway 
  • Knowledge of - Locomotive Power Circuit; DJ Control Circuit; Auxiliary Power Circuit; Traction Power Circuit; Pneumatic Circuit; SMGR Circuit etc. 
  • Communication skills (written and verbal). 
  • Excellent Presentation skills. 
  • Knowledge of training and learning methodologies.
