Inspect products and equipment, including routine checks, testing, and instrumental inspections in the field and shop in compliance with standard operating procedure
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspects Rental tool parts in-process, finished Rental tools, and/or purchased Rental tool materials for conformance to specifications
Responsible for the maintenance and inspection of equipment.
Perform routine tests on products, goods, and materials.
Prepares and maintains records and documentation of inspection acceptance, rejection, and/or re-work requirements
Inspect end areas of various crossover subs, pup joints, and safety valves.
Inside diameter cleaning of various crossover subs, pup joints, and safety valves.
Clean and inspect elevators, slips, and other handling tools as required.
Read and interpret Weatherford manuals to meet compliance standards.
Complete inspection reports.
Available to work on a 24 hour basis to respond to customer needs.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
1-3 years of inspection experience or equivalence
Knowledge of different types of grades, weights, and connections
Capable of using calipers and other measurement devices
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Reside within a 50 mile radius of Odessa/Midland area
Knowledge of handling tools (elevator and slips)
General computer knowledge
Magnetic particle inspection
Valid Driver's license
