Job Description

Job Summary

This position is located in Platteville, Colorado as a member of the Rockies Water Management Team. The candidate will work in a team environment with completions engineers, reservoir engineers, facility engineers, and field operators to lead our water facility operations in Colorado and Wyoming. The candidate will also collaborate with DJ and PRB Planning, EH&S, Land, Legal, Regulatory and Supply Chain support groups to ensure operations compliance.

Qualifications


  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in logistics or project management required with water pipeline, storage and facility experience in the petroleum industry strongly preferred .

  • Experience in ASMITRN/Process Safety Management necessary.

  • Prefer experience in water sourcing, transfer and treatment projects for completions operations.

  • Experience with vendor negotiation for pricing and services are required.

  • Facility, process, production, or completions engineering experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

  • Working knowledge of Cygnet, ArcView, Synergee Water, Open Wells, Open Text, One Note or Spotfire is a plus.
  • Excellent project management, communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with field operations, technical peers and management.


Responsibilities


  • Technical Resource for Water Lifecycle Projects on a Multidisciplinary Team: Successfully implement an effort to efficiently source, treat, store and transport water for operations activities. Review the economic feasibility of projects and submit AFEs and supporting materials for implementation. Support field operations with scheduling and execution of projects.

  • Regulatory Support:Lead permitting processes for road, ditch and railroad crossings, water well and impoundment projects, electrical and additional support services.

  • Water Lifecycle Surveillance: Monitor and forecast water supply and demand volumes for fresh and produced water operations. Participate in frequent, formal team based facility process reviews to identify and document improvement opportunities; implement recommendations and post audit results.

  • Water Lifecycle Operations: Collaborate with the field operations staff and vendors to analyze water system optimization opportunities. Evaluate existing infrastructure and advise on improvements to piping/pumping, oil/water separation, storage, treatment, and capacity limitations.

  • Lease Operating Expense (LOE) Improvement: Provide technical and financial analysis support to field operations in efforts to control and reduce LOE. Support the annual budget process for LOE.

  • Non Drilling Capital (NDC) Improvement: Lead efforts to minimize and track capital requirements of water operations.
  • Evaluate water lifecycle project costs; generate project AFEs, verify and approve invoices.


Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Certifications / Licenses
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

Relocation 

This position may be eligible for domestic relocation.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 10 - 30%.

Work Schedule
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
