Shell is looking at strengthening their Gas Plant operations team. You will be responsible as part of a team for operations of the compression facilities in compliance with the Operations Management System Policies and operational HSSE requirements. You must be able to provide prompt and reliable decision making and be a decision maker and promote a safe and positive workplace.
You will provide frontline plant surveillance and defect recognition, maintaining a strong focus on ensuring production optimisation. Reporting to the Gas Plant Supervisor you'll assist in the day-to-day running of the gas plants, ensuring the safety and supporting integrity of the plant and that production targets are met.
The key responsibilities include but are not limited to monitor baseline maintenance of compressor stations to ensure the high availability of the compressor sets and plant, as well as effective metering and pressure regulation. Complete area surveillance and rectify (to level of competence) and/or report safety, environmental, maintenance and production issues, ensuring that all identified defects are appropriately documented in the relevant registers and databases. Participate in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring compliance to manufacturer's guidelines, and careful observation of maintenance agreements and warranties. Maintain operational support for emergency response equipment as required.
We are looking for individuals with experience in the Oil and Gas industry related to, Gas Plant Operations, Refinery or Petrochemical experience. You must be competent in permit to work, risk assessment and evaluation with respect to safe work systems. You should have a Cert IV in process plant operations and be educated to tertiary level in a trade or engineering discipline. Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. SAP and Maximo are desirable.
The job is worked on a 15/13 rotation working 12 hour days and night shift. We would encourage applications from the local area of Chinchilla, Wandoan, Miles the Darling or Western Downs regions.
