Job Description

Petroplan is actively recruiting for an offshore Constrction Lead focusing on oil and gas production facilities and platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. This role is based in Lafayette and will require offshore travel as reqiuired.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety culture and expectations with company employees and contractors
  • Provide technical expertise for facility modifications and repairs including design, startup and commissioning
  • Provide technical recommendations for replacing existing equipment
  • Coordinate for inspection, quality control & assurance, and contract management services
  • Lead troubleshooting on any operational issues
  • Review integrity inspection reports and provide solutions for deficiency findings
  • Develop engineering, construction and asset integrity standards for company
  • Interpret regulatory requirements, working with operations and HSE teams to provide compliance solutions
  • Work with operations and HSE teams in providing response to compliance audits and findings

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering
  • 10+ years' experience in construction, maintenance and facilities, with a wealth of expertise in the Gulf of Mexico required
  • Understanding of the impact of economic factors in developing process solutions
  • Current knowledge of industry codes and government regulations
  • Experience in facility design and construction practices for piping, pipelines, pressure vessels and safety systems
  • Technical knowledge of asset integrity, including erosion-corrosion prevention and surveys
