Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for design and procurement assistance with various upstream equipment for offshore projects, including separators, scrubbers, pumps, tanks, compressors and utilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements for design of various equipment.
  • Prepare various studies and calculations associated with sizing and selection of equipment.
  • Prepare specifications and datasheets for various equipment.
  • Prepare various calculations associated with sizing and selection of piping. Prepare general arrangement drawings for the platform or facility. Prepare Piping and Instrument Diagrams as required to define the facility design.
  • Coordinate drafting activities and assist in application of
  • engineering principles. Prepare technical documents for Request for Quotation packages.
  • Prepare technical evaluations of supplier quotations.
  • Review vendor design documents and fabrication drawings.
  • Provide construction and fabrication support as required.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mechanical or process engineering activities.
  • Minimum with design of upstream oil and gas projects.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design of facilities and mechanical equipment associated with upstram oil and gas projects
  • Familiarity with vendors/suppliers normally used in fabrication of oil and gas equipment, materials and fabrication along the Gulf Coast.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and "get things done" attitude.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
