This position is to the GIS data management and project support the Global New Ventures team. The team is made up of senior earth scientists who work on projects across the globe to raise exploration resource opportunities for Chevron.

The position also has a facilitation component, as the position will conduction basin evaluation workshops.
Attention to detail, a highly organized approach to work problems, and the ability to multi-task are essential traits given the large
volume of team based assessments. There is a significant component of project support, building GIS projects to support evaluation teams, finding and incorporating data and providing support for high end GIS workflows to the user group.
Job tasks will range from ad-hoc team/user support, to building regional projects map based projects,
data organization schemes for GIS systems and database maintenance and GIS based workshop facilitation.
The candidate must have data investigation and QC skills to enable delivery of reliable
interpretation projects to the Global New Ventures teams.
