An experienced CNC Machinist that consistently produces high volume parts in a cost-efficient manger and performs all CNC / Lathe Mills operations including setup of programs, tooling, training of junior machinists and assist in production planning. Works under general supervision.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate CNC Machinery when required to achieve productivity targets
Review shop order packet for procedural instructions.
Read and interpret complex blueprints and sectional views
Check dimensions of parts and holds tolerance of plus or minus .001.
Proper Usage of all types of inspection gages
Perform own setups with no supervision including assisting junior machinists in set up.
Program across multiple controls and machine groups (mills, lathes, etc).
Ability to do programming for CNC and Mills, including modifying existing programs at machine or remotely via laptop.
Set up 100% of CNCs (Doosan, Fortunes with G50 and G54 lathes) and Mills, Hass, etc.
Assists in training and instruction of junior machinists.
Assists in making evaluations and recommendations including assistance in production planning.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of Weatherford.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and company with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Familiar with Horizontal Mazak, Slant 50, Mazak 40 with Fusion and Nexus controls preferred
Read and comprehend a variety of blueprints -Must be able to set up and use all machinists measuring devices.
Working knowledge of math and application (trigonometry of angles)
Familiar with outer and inner diameter tooling on CNC lathes and know their functions
Knowledgeable in set up CNC Fanuc control with G codes
Knowledge and experience with manual lathes
Master Cam for mill and lathe work
Create slot and radius programs, circle interpolation, angles using A, Y, X axis
Basic English comprehension reading, writing and speaking skills
Minimum 7 years of relevant machining experience and or a combination of work / education experience.
Vocational / Technical certification
Minimum 2 years in Lead / SME role
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Provide basic hand tools as required
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver's license.
